Ready or not - the new Facebook timeline format

Although we haven't mentioned non-profit tech guru Beth Kanter much here in the past (in fact I checked – we did only once and it was in 2008) her blog is definitely one that's always on our radar. Beth is a frequent contributor to nonprofit technology websites, blogs and magazines and she knows her stuff. So when Beth talks, we should all listen!

In a recent post on her blog, Beth and guest blogger Nancy Schwartz talk about the new Facebook timeline format and how to make the most of it for your organization. The format is optional at the moment (see Beth's profile using it here) but were you aware that on March 30th ALL Facebook pages will be transitioned to timeline?

While it may come as a surprise to some, we agree with Beth and Nancy that this is an opportunity to strengthen your organization’s Facebook presence. The timeline format uses a big cover photo that can help to define your new page and further engage your audience.

So we encourage you to read the blog post and learn how you can make the most of this change so you're ready come March 30th. As always, we would be happy to lend a hand if need be!
