The Public Service Alliance of Canada is one of Canada's largest unions and represents workers in the Federal Government across the country. The union itself is broken down by regions across the country, and like many large organizations, suffered from a total lack of consistency in terms of the tools and infrastructure they were using for their online communications from one region to the next.
This September, we'll be starting a series of webinars on a variety topics for non-profit organizations. Each webinar will be approximately an hour long, including time allotted for questions, are open to anyone interested in the topic, and are free to attend. The topics are drawn from regular themes that emerge out of our strategy sessions with clients and workshops we've given on a smaller scale in the past. They will be presented by the partners at Raised Eyebrow, Lauren Bacon and Emira Mears.
Last year brought our first-ever Raised Eyebrow baby, when Emira gave birth to a delightful wee girl - and she seems to have started a trend. There's another baby (actually, two babies… she's having twins!) on the way, and as such we're seeking a maternity leave replacement for our beloved Client Manager, Anna.
For those in the know it's Open Source Week May 2-7 and it's been a busy week for us here at Raised Eyebrow. There are lots of events happening around the city to celebrate all things open. Luckily, Raised Eyebrow is involved in more ways than one.
